Tim Freeman….Deep Roots in Southern Oregon
Tim Freeman understands the issues affecting our area. He knows how challenging the job market is and how tough it is for people and families to make a solid living. As a strong supporter of the timber industry and having grown up in this area most of his life, Tim has seen the devastating impact rising unemployment and limited opportunities for young people has had on local communities.  Tim Freeman went to local public schools from first grade all the way through high school. Tim experienced growing up with his mom and dad and 3 brothers in Oakland. His dad owned a small business all of his life, as did his father before him. Tim worked as a field mechanic for Don Whitaker Logging to put himself through college and support his family until he bought his own business in 1991.

Tim Freeman…A Family Man
Nothing is more important to Tim Freeman than his family. Tim and his wife of 23 years, Angelia, have two beautiful children whom they have worked to raise with good, old-fashioned values.  As parents, Tim and Angelia understand the issues facing our kids today…serious challenges with drugs and crime that many of us didn’t face when we were growing up.  Tim is keenly aware of the changing world we live in, especially the internet and our modern advances in technology. Becoming familiar with “MySpace” and “Face Book” culture is just a starting point for parents who are attempting to understand the world our kids are experiencing. The challenge is protecting our children from internet predators, while providing all the wonderful opportunities for learning the internet has to offer.

Tim Freeman…More than a Talker, He Knows How to Roll up His Sleeves and Do the Work
Not everyone is dedicated enough to be in public service. Tim Freeman has volunteered
thousands of hours in serving on the Roseburg City Council and on the Roseburg City Budget Committee in an effort to help make life better for all of us.  Tim has served as City Council President three times. He has been elected chair of the League of Oregon Cities governmental affairs committee by his peers. Tim has served on the Ambulance
and Urban Renewal Agency boards. Tim doesn’t just talk about being involved, he is involved and he does the work!

Tim Freeman…A Community Volunteer—He’s One of Us
Tim does more than just work and serve on the City Council. Tim has volunteered as an assistant football coach for 4th and 5th graders. Tim has served on the Roseburg Jaycees and is an active member of the Chamber of Commerce. Most important, though, is Tim’s love of motorcycles and his membership in the local Harley Club. He helped the group start the local toy run, and participates in patriotic events sponsored by the club.

Tim Freeman…An NRA Member
Few things are more important than for Americans to be able to responsibly own and operate their firearms. Tim Freeman is a strong supporter of Second Amendment Rights and will continue to protect the rights of gun owners in Oregon.

Tim Freeman…Ready to Serve in the Oregon Legislature
Susan Morgan is stepping down as our state legislator, leaving a vacancy for someone like Tim Freeman to fill. Tim is a natural leader and has always stepped forward whenever a need in the community occurs. Whether as a small business owner, a father, a city councilor or a member of the city budget committee, Tim Freeman welcomes challenges and hits the ground running. More importantly, Tim gets the job done…each time, every time! Tim Freeman will apply that same energy, when elected as your state representative, to get the job done for you and the rest of southern Oregon, in the legislature.

Tim Freeman…He Wants Government to be More Accountable, He Wants to Limit Taxes
and He Wants New Solutions to Fight Meth

Tim Freeman’s agenda is simple. He wants government to do more with the tax dollars they receive.  He wants an education system that is more competitive and more efficient. Tim wants to stop the avalanche of taxes promoted by the liberal Portland legislators and he wants to find new ways to battle meth and crime.  More than ever, Tim believes we need to work together to solve problems. We need to focus on the issues and not the personalities. Tim Freeman is ready to take his common sense approach to governing to Salem to help solve problems.

Tim Freeman…A Voice for Rural and Southern Oregon…Not Portland
It’s simple; Oregon is more than just Portland. The extreme liberal policies of Portland need to be balanced with what is happening in other parts of the state like in Douglas, Jackson and Josephine Counties. It’s easier said than done, but Tim Freeman is willing to fight for the issues affecting our area and oppose extreme policies coming out of Portland.
